Konkona wonders how people are going to react to her pairing with Ranbir Kapoor in Wake Up, Sid.
"I'm getting to know Ranbir a bit only now after shooting for so many months. He's warm and sweet but we both keep in our own space. He's a very big star. And also a good actor. But most impressive is the fact that he knows everything about cinema,and not just acting . In front of him I feel like a novice. Ranbir knows about camera angles and all. In fact they even took his suggestions on camera angles.People want to see how we look together. We come from different genres of cinema. "
Konkona says she has no aptitude for the technical side. "I'm an actor, and quite comfortable in that role. I don't think I've any plans of directing a film."
She's all praise for her other co-star Farhan Akhtar too .
"I've known him for a while. It's hard to say Luck By Chance is his third film as an actor. He's a natural."
Tabu was supposed to do Konkona's role in Luck By Chance, just like Konkona was supposed to be the lead instead of Tabu in Mira Nair's The Namesake.
Is this her way of getting even? "You're investing too much power into the actors. I had heard Tabu was to do Luck By Chance . Even Page 3 was offered to other people. I was just happy to get both.Luck By Chance is such an intricately written script. The film has a lot of soul. "
Although she doesn't like talking about it her new home done up by the swanky Pavitra Rajaram occupies much of her creative space these days. More so since she was down with a viral attack which kept her confined home.
"I got this viral flu on the sets of Ayaan Mukherjee's Wake Up Sid. We were shooting in a closed air-conditioned set . And when one person got the fever so did everyone else. We had to take a few days off. But I'm fine now.It's basically a coming-of-age story between me and Ranbir. No point in shooting when we're not there. When you're feeling sick you look sick on camera."
Early December 2008 Konkona moved into her new house. "I was dying to move in. It's just fifteen minutes away from where I stayed earlier. It's much more spacious and far more organized. In my head I am still living in cottages and barsaatis. Even my earlier place just had stuff cluttured all over. Now I was …. like bowled over because I've a real dining table."

Sonam Kapoor at Cannes Film Festival
After Aishwarya Rai, Saawariya and Delhi-6 girl Sonam Kapoor has joined the next Generation of L'Oreal Paris Dream Team. She is now all set to represent Indian beauty and talent overseas at the Cannes Film Festival.
Sonam can't hide her excitement and states, "I am yet to decide what I shall be wearing for the Cannes Festival. I am depending totally on my designers. Though I am representing the brand, I will also be performing numbers from both the films Saawariya and Delhi –6 for the first time."
Commenting about Aishwarya Rai, Sonam states, "She is the most beautiful woman in the world. Even if I can achieve a part of what she has done I shall feel that I have achieved something. There is no comparison between us as she is undoubtedly an Icon."
The actress further adds that the youth identify with the brand Loreal' and she chose the brand because her persona is close to the product.
"I have always chosen quality over quantity. Even, my films which I have done represent quality over quantity" she adds before signing off.

The tall and pretty Priyanka is a Pantaloons Femina Miss India Tourism 2007 winner, Channel V's GetGorgeous winner, Miss India International winner, Zoom Levis divawinner, celebrity PETA activist and the Indian captain of ladies netball team.
Priyanka Shah, a stunning-looking Ex-Miss India, has been cast opposite Sibiraj. Director Ramya, originally called Suresh, has written the story and screenplay for the Vijaykanth - Suriya starrer 'Periyanna', and returns to Tamil after doing a Telugu blockbuster 'Naga'. He has made a script adapting the Ramayana for his film, 'Kalla Kadhalan'.
Ramya said that the film is based loosely on the 'Agaligai' chapter that comes at the beginning of the epic 'Ramayana'. In the mythological 'Ramayana', Agaligai was the wife of Saint Gauthamar, who held her chastity close to her heart and didn't even look up and meet others' eyes, lest her eyes might rest on some other male other than her husband. Indra, leader o the Devas, falls in love with Agaligai and plays a trick, cheats her and manages to breach her chastity. Ramya has made adequate changes in this particular episode to suit today's needs and is making 'Kallakaadhalan'.
Pretty tall (5 ft 9")Priyanka, half-Maharashtrian half-Gujarati, is an engineering graduate and is all excited about taking her first baby steps in Tamil cinema. In 'Kalla Kadhalan', Sibiraj plays the role of Indhira, while Miss India Priyanka Shah plays Ahalya. Her husband's role is played by a popular Kannada stage and film actor H. Vishal. The film will be a take on women's morality. Priyanka doesn't mind showing skin or body if done aesthetically, but is against vulgarity. She will wear a bikini in the film as she is cool about flaunting her body in a bikini was she has the figure to carry it off. She has worn a swimsuit for the various beauty pageants. The film is produced by Storm Pictures and directed by Ramya. Director Ramya has taken on a portion of the epic to modernize it. The topic in question is morality concerning women, as it is dealt with in the portion involving Ahalya, Indiran and Sage Gauravar in the Baalakandam of Ramayana. Shooting for the movie will begin in early July.
Priyanka has done an acting course at the famous Kishore Namit Kumar acting school in Mumbai. She has also done several modelling assignments and walked the ramp at international fashion meets before taking the plunge into the industry. PETA recently honoured her for my contribution towards animal welfare.

Priyanka Chopra on Tuesday May 12th evening launched the website of her Yash Raj Productions film Pyaar Impossible. The film is directed by actor turned filmmaker Jugal Hansraj and co-stars her with Uday Chopra.
Priyanka launched the website of her romantic comedy film – www.pyaarimpossible.in and then speaking about her role in the film said, "I play the beauty and Uday plays the geek. But in real life, when I was in school-college I was very geeky."
During the media interaction a journalist asked her reaction to the recent comments made by Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan that their names were being unnecessarily dragged for publicizing her forthcoming film Kaminey with her 'good friend' Shahid Kapoor. Priyanka like a true loyal 'good friend' gave a fitting reply to Kareena (she was Shahid's ex girlfriend remember) and Saif's accusations made in a Mumbai tabloid few days back. Priyanka said, "Kaminey is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj whose directorial credentials don't need any introduction and it is produced by UTV which is amongst the best production houses in the country today. I have seen the film and I feel it's a brilliant piece of work. All those who will see the film will definitely love it. We as the team of Kaminey are extremely well equipped and capable of publicizing the film and don't require any outside help for the same."
Few days back Kareena and Saif had reportedly claimed that their names were needlessly dragged to gain publicity for his films by Shahid. Kareena was in fact quoted stating, "Shahid should move on."

The Under-trial | Parveen Dhabas gets behind bars
Well, no, he's not been upto anything, the man just signed a movie Surya Productions and Amit Behl along with wife and producer Vaibhavi on Sunday afternoon shot the Mahurat Shot of their new venture, 'The Under-trial', a movie based on a man accused of being a terrorist, post bombings in the city.
The event was held at Filmistan in Goregaon. While Jackie Shroff was keenly expected by the media, he brought a little disappointment owing to unavoidable circumstances and being held up out of town.
Amit Behl and Vaibhavi looked busy co-ordinating on the sets while the director Shekhar S Jha ensured everything proceeded smoothly.
Parveen Dhabas also made an entry minus wife Preeti Jhangiani who is speculated to be a part of the movie too. Yash Pal Sharma was all smiles and pepped about the Mahurat shot and spoke at length about his excitement in being part of the movie.
The Mahurat Shot was an act behind the jail bars involving Parveen and Yash Pal.

The reality show that doesn't have the audience's vote and is solely based on the children's talent, certainly calls for making important and quick decisions in a short span of time. The Mummy's are no doubt like a solid pillar of strength for their children, but then mothers are after all mothers they become subjective. So, to get an objective outlook the mommy's flock around Akriti and ask her to give tips to their children.

HUGH JACKMAN almost missed out on the chance to play WOLVERINE in the original X-MEN movie - because he had to audition with a perm.
The Aussie star reveals he tried out for the action man role nine months before filming started - and was initially passed over for Brit Dougray Scott. And he thinks his hair put the casting director off. He explains, "I was doing a musical in London at the time, playing Curly in Oklahoma - so I had a perm in my hair.
"So I put the hat on to do the audition and about halfway through, the casting director was like, 'That was great, could you do one without the hat? I can't really see Wolverine wearing a baseball cap.'
"I took it off and I read about two lines and she goes, 'Cut, put the hat on - now'"
But fortune came Jackman's way when filming on Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible film overran and Scott was contracted to complete that film first. Producers couldn't wait and so Jackman re-auditioned - four days after X-Men began shooting in 1999.

Priyanka Chopra in Kaminey | Priyanka Chopra Role in Kaminey
Recently Priyanka Chopra stated that her character of Sweety in 'Kaminey' is so well written that it would surely make an impact. Well, considering the fact that director Vishal Bhardwaj has been known for presenting his female leads in a distinct avatar, one tends to agree with Priyanka. After all he is the same man who succeeded in giving a new image to his female actors like Tabu, Kareena Kapoor and Shabana Azmi after working with them in 'Maqbool', 'Omkara' and 'Makdee' respectively. Hence, there is no reason why it should be any different in the film maker's fourth outing 'Kaminey'.
"I do hope that I have been able to do justice to Vishal's vision for this wonderful character that he has created. You don't get to work in a fantastic movie like 'Kaminey' and play someone like Sweety (the name of her character) every day", says Priyanka who has been patiently waiting for the film's arrival in theaters.
Earlier release plan for the film was 5th June. However, in the current situation when there is still no clarity around the release dates of the films, courtesy the stand off between producers and multiplexes, 'Kaminey' is expected to be pushed forward by at least a month.
Priyanka Chopra is also mighty excited about donning an altogether new look for the character of Sweety. However, she is also keeping her fingers crossed to find out whether she has been able to justify the kind of confidence that the film maker has shown in her.
Coming to the looks department, she has been donning quite a few different looks in her last few films, case in point being 'Fashion' and 'Dostana'. So is it right to assume that it was a conscious decision on her part to mix glamorous roles (as seen in 'Dostana' and 'Fashion') with a real look, as seen in 'Kaminey'?
"Well yes, it was a conscious decision for sure. I am mixing it up and 'What's your Rashee', which would come next, would see me in a completely different light as well", says Priyanka who has worked with Harman Baweja in this Ashutosh Gowariker directed film.
Just like 'Kaminey', 'What's Your Rashee' too has been produced by UTV Motion Pictures (though in collaboration with Ashutosh Gowariker Productions). The film was earlier slated for a September release and it has to be seen whether the release of 'Kaminey' being pushed would have any bearing on 'What's Your Rashee'.
Starring Shahid Kapoor in a double role and featuring Amol Gupte (Writer of 'Taare Zameen Par') in the role of the main villain, 'Kaminey' has lyrics by Gulzar and music by Vishal Bhardwaj who is also responsible for the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film
